Comedy Night 2017 with Bob Somerby!

Our show’s first performer was Bob Somerby who shares our belief in the power of humor. He comes by it honestly: Bob’s grandfather Rufus was a traveling entertainer and storyteller and his father Al owned the legendary Old Howard Theater in Boston. In addition to working as a comedian for over twenty five years Bob owned his own comedy club in Baltimore for 6 years and created a one man show Material World from which he presented routines at our Comedy Night including the piece ‘Blue Corn Flakes’ we’re posting.

At the end of the campaign we have raised over $36,000… and we thought our original goal was very ambitious. We cannot thank YOU enough.

The Great Reveal!

We hope everyone had a joyful holiday filled with lots of love, laughter and smiles. We continue to receive generous gifts from the most wonderful supporters. We have received above and beyond what we have even dreamed of.
Thank you!

We have received a total of $32,750 so far and we can now reveal the remaining 92 squares of Maggie’s painting. It’s one of her BEAUTIFUL watercolors, which she named “Mosby”.

If you love to cook come join us! We promise an evening full of fun and friendship. Our Guest Chef for a Dinner program is a volunteer opportunity that all residents of The BridgeLine love. Come to one of our homes and show off your cooking skills.

We have had guest chefs come from as near as Charlottesville and as far as Germany! A Guest Chef enriches our evening with great fun and excellent food.
